Hi. ๐I'm Ace. I help writers with editing and publishing logistics so you can focus on the story.โจ
My first love is sci-fi and fantasy, but I have also worked on YA, memoirs, short stories and graphic novels. ๐ฟ๐๐
You've daydreamed about magical worlds...
...you've worked hard for hours, days, months, (even years) to finally finish a manuscript and type out the final words...
That's where I come in! I want to use my editing skills and experiance in the publishing industry to champion your book. (And selfishly, I want more magical stories to go out into the world๐๐ก๏ธ)
Whether you have:
A messy first draft
A partial draft
A great beginning and middle, but a dreaded saggy middle
OR a refined draft, you want a final pair of eyes on before querying or publication
...I'm ready to help support you along the way. I'm excited to help you get started (or finish) editing your novel!
**Bonus points if your story has dragons or time-travel๐โ
..."The End."

or is it...
My Approach
...is to create edits that are actionable and customizable to each writer's needs. I help indie authors hone their craft and feel confident to publish their fantastic novels.

{Empathy}
I will always treat your work with respect and compassion. It's a scary thing to put your creative work in someone else's hands. I am never ruthless with my edits and will always make sure to praise what is working well. So you'll know what to keep doing, alongside edits to make you aware of areas to strengthen.
{Education}
One of my jobs is to help writers learn, grow and expand their knowledge of the craft. I've learned about many different story structures and rules (and have read a million books), so I can impart to you different techniques to use in your writing. And of course, guide you on how and where to break rules and conventions.

Having worked in fashion and alongside other creators, I have grown a bittersweet relationship with collaborative projects. People always overpromise, then, when the initial excitement has worn off, the project falls apart. Ace is the first collaborator where this hasnโt been the case. Throughout thick and thin, she maintained a full and honest channel of communication. Ace isnโt afraid to put the graft in, and it shows. I hope this partnership continues into a longstanding professional relationship.

Meet the Editor๐ฟ
Hi! My name is Ace, and I prefer to spend my time living in a fantasy world rather than reality.
My training includes a B.A. in Screenwriting, a B.A. in Journalism and a first-class honours M.A. in Publishing and Creative Writing from Kingston University of London.
From there, I worked as a Page Editor at Gannett News for several years and later gained experience at London-based independent publishers.
As for me, my ideal afternoon is spent with a cup of tea in a bookshop cafe or in the British Library Reading rooms.๐ฅฐ๐ป๐
